Fun Direction at National Indoor Training Centre

We had an incredible day yesterday at our Project Fun Direction Blitz event in Sport Ireland‘s National Indoor Training Centre. It was great to get all the Fun Direction groups together for this long anticipated event!

Girls that have taken part in our Fun Direction Programme in St Joseph’s GNS – Finglas West and St Brigids School, Finglas West joined up with the groups from the Aisling Project Afterschool group and Kilbarrick Coast and Community Partnership afterschool and had a great time using the impressive facilities, trying new sports and playing different games on offer.

Huge thanks to Dr Lorraine Brennan and her colleagues from Institute of Nutrition University College Dublin who facilitated fun nutrition workshops for the girls to learn more about healthy nutrition and thank you to the inspiring Dublin Camogie player Aisling Cleary who came to talk to the girls at the Blitz. Supported by Healthy Ireland Fun Direction aims to promote physical and motor development through fun games and sports.
